Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts Releases Busy April Schedule

  • MMFA has a very busy April with events for everyone!

  • Friday, April 5, 5-7 PM  - Art After 5: Last Call for (Un)Settled and A Beautiful Mess

    This free, after-hours event celebrates two exhibitions before they close. Visitors can expect light hors d’oeuvres, art activities, music curated by Village Green Records, and a cash bar offering a specially crafted cocktail inspired by the art on display. This event is free and open to the public.

  • Saturday, April 6, 10-noon - Arts for Autism 

    In celebration of World Autism Month, the MMFA is partnering with local organizations, Autism Support of Alabama, D.A.T.S.M.O.M., and Many Colors Arts Collective to offer families the opportunity to create Art in two art-making classes. Each session is limited to 10 families. Classes are free and require advance registration.

  • Saturday, April 13, 9-1 - Flimp Festival

    Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts celebrates creativity and Spring at the 33rd annual Flimp Festival on Saturday, April 13, from 9 to 1. At this free event, visitors will enjoy artmaking, music, food trucks, and whimsy—rain or shine

  • Thursday, April 18, 6-8 - Art Talk at KRU on Mt. Meigs

    Calling all artists and art-lovers, join us for a group critique and discussion. Participants can bring one work of art for feedback or just join the conversation for creative inspiration!

Beyond The Horizon Air and Space Show Is This Weekend!

  • If you remember the air show from 4-5 years ago, you know what a big deal this is and how much fun it is for the whole family. Gates at Maxwell will open from 8 to 5 Saturday and Sunday to get great vantage points.
