Local Giving Tuesday Ideas

This is a special edition of our weekly newsletter where we highlight nonprofits who are on the ground in our city making things happen! We would love for you to consider getting involved in these organizations with a monetary gift or volunteering your time to help keep their momentum going!

Landmarks Foundation
Many of you visited Old Alabama Town in 4th grade if you grew up in Alabama. Landmarks Foundation is the 501c3 that manages this gem in our city. They also “tell the story of our community's past, while focusing on future development and saving our historic built environment.”
We have partnered with Landmarks the past 2 Oyster Festivals and believe in their mission and the impact they have in the region. Become a member HERE.

The Grove MGM
The Grove MGM is a nonprofit that is renovating a home in downtown Montgomery that will “provide dignified, affordable housing and support to bridge the gap between foster care system and independence.”
To get involved and learn more, go HERE
Friendship Mission
Friendship Mission is the only emergency shelter in Montgomery for single men and women while also providing shelter for women with children. Donations allow more warm beds and nourishing meals for homeless in MGM.
As we settle into winter, consider a donation to help those looking for help on the streets. Go HERE to get all of the details.

River Region Trails
We believe a key to a vibrant city is an abundance of outdoor activities for residence. River Region Trails created a trails master plan for all sections of Montgomery and is currently working on implementation.
Check out their master plan and consider an individual or corporate donation HERE.
